Popular designer Kim Diehl's quilting journey began years ago with a sampler quilt she found at a sidewalk sale, so it's no surprise that when she designed a sampler quilt of her own, she pulled out all the stops and incorporated two of her loves--stars and fusible wool appliqué. With an invitation to slow down and enjoy hand stitching the wool appliqué blocks, Kim makes this decadent quilt simple with full-size appliqué patterns, detailed instructions, and scads of tips for success.
