What better place to celebrate our Independence than at Ohio's largest living-history village! ON JULY 1st, celebrate with our new citizens as they take the last step in the process in becoming a United States citizen. The U.S. District Court Naturalization Ceremony begins at 11:00 a.m. and takes place on our beautiful Village Green.
Some of the other activities that day:
- Listen to Patriotic Songs on the Reed Organ
- Beat the Heat at 1836 Lauber Settlement with Keeping the Mosquitoes Away and Grandmother’s Harvest Drink activities
- 1856 Witmer Roth Home - Create historic Fourth of July decorations and play historic games – sack races and three legged races
- Centennial Celebration in the Stuckey Homestead where picnic preparations will be underway.
- Horseshoe pitching
- Play Croquet in the 1920s
- Veterans and Active Military receive free admission in honor of their service to our country.
