Reading and learning do not have to stop when school is out for the summer! Join us for our annual Author Day. Sauder Village will celebrate Dav Pilkey, acclaimed author and illustrator of many children’s books, for the Author Day event to be held on Saturday, August 5. With a variety of hands-on activities, special demonstrations, and free admission for anyone dressed as a character from one of Dav Pilkey’s books, this annual event is sure to offer families a day of happy memories at Sauder Village!
Throughout the Historic Village there will be a variety of fun activities tied to Dav Pilkey’s most popular children’s books, the Captain Underpants series, join us on an epic adventure back in time as we explore the history of underpants and Sauder Village is also offering free admission on August 5 to anyone who comes dressed as a character from one of Dav Pilkey’s books. Children and adults are encouraged to be creative, dress in costume, and get involved in this fun celebration!
