ABOUT JEFF MCDONALD - MUSICAL ENTERTAINMENT FOR OCTOBER 17
Jeff McDonald has over 40 years experience as an entertainer and
continues to excite audience of all ages. He’s recorded ten albums at
Sweetwater in Fort Wayne and Nashville’s famous RCA Studio A. He’s
played concerts, dances, and various entertainment venues throughout the
Untied States and even in England, where he appeared on the BBC and
even played The Cavern Club, birthplace of The Beatles in Liverpool. He
plays the acoustic guitar and sings, but that’s not all! He’s accompanied by
sophisticated recordings known as “backing tracks” that make his one
man show sound like he’s a full band. You can listen, dance, or just enjoy
Jeff started out in Chicago’s folk music scene in the early 1970’s that
included such famous songwriters as John Prine, Steve Goodman and Kris
Kristofferson. Though his roots are in the acoustic singer-songwriter
world, decades ago he branched out to include hundreds of rock, pop,
Motown, crooner and country songs into his act. Today his repertoire
includes over 1000 songs spanning eight decades of music. He specializes
in the music of the late 1950’s through the early 1980’s, so in one show
you’ll hear songs made famous by artists as diverse as Elvis, Johnny Cash,
The Beatles, Bob Seger, Jimmy Buffett, Frank Sinatra, Linda Ronstadt, The
Eagles, Neil Diamond and many, many more. There truly is something for
everyone in Jeff’s shows. He’s delighted to be part Sauder Village’s “Night
at the Speakeasy” event and even promises a few songs from “The Roaring
20’s” to fit the theme.
