Cast your line for a day of family fun at the Youth Fishing Derby at Sauder Village’s Little Lake Erie on Saturday, June 14!
Young anglers 15 and younger are invited to fish starting at 9 a.m., with an open class for ages 16 and up to follow. Bring your own gear or rent a pole on-site while supplies last, and don’t forget to stock up on bait—available for purchase or bring your own! Trophies will be awarded in four age divisions, plus an overall Biggest Catch prize.
Also enjoy a
Nature’s Nursery wildlife rehabilitation presentation (12:45–1:30 p.m.), an inflatable archery range (1–4 p.m.), and
Outlaw Smokehouse BBQ food truck (11 a.m.–2 p.m.). Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. and is open to anyone. Pre-registration is preferred. Click through to pre-register online or call the Heritage Inn at 419.445.6408 to pre-register. Price is $7 for pre-registered participants and $10 day-of. Community members are to park at Founders Hall parking lot and will be shuttled to Little Lake Erie from the Picnic Shelter.
Registered campers are invited to participate in a cornhole tournament. Registration starts at 5:30pm. Price is $10 per team with prizes for first, second and third place. Campers can also enjoy s’mores around the campfire at the Picnic Shelter starting at 8 p.m.!
