                              Quillter Skill Level Definitions
                              • A Beginner is eager to learn and can sew a fairly straight line with a sewing machine.

                              • You are an Advanced Beginner if you know how to thread the sewing machine, wind a bobbin and use a rotary cutter. You can sew simple pieced designs and simple appliqué. Blocks may come out different sizes or odd-shaped.

                              • You are an Intermediate quilter if you have been quilting for several years, have taken several quilting classes, and are having more success with piecing skills. You are learning the finer points of pressing, cutting and adjusting seam allowances for more accuracy. You are trying more challenging patterns and designs.

                              • You are an Advanced quilter if you have mastered all the basic skills. You have begun designing your own quilt blocks and patterns, combining designs from various sources, and learning more advanced techniques to enhance your work.
