Mark your calendar to attend the Fall Fiber Arts Retreat!
Whether you crochet, knit, spin, weave, embroider, hook or do other types of hand work, this is a great time to catch up on projects, share ideas with other fiber arts enthusiasts and show off your completed work.
Launched in 2022, this weekend retreat has quickly grown. Enjoy an all-inclusive, special fall time experience where you can relish the sounds of nature while walking the Wetlands Nature Trail, appreciate the setting sun over cornfields, gather around the fireplace at the Heritage Inn for some quiet time of reflection, or the camaraderie of fellow fiber friends. It is a special time to be away and focused on your fiber projects.
The Fall Fiber Arts Retreat includes admission to the Historic Sauder Village and our many traditional arts – spinning, weaving, basket making, brooms, cooperage, blacksmith, pottery, glass blowing and woodworking. Be sure to make time to take a walk through time from the early 1800s Natives and Newcomers to the 1920s Main Street. You won’t be disappointed.
The spacious retreat room, set with round tables, allows for space to spread your project, and join with friends while you stitch, hook, spin, or weave. Many participants take advantage of the comfy lounge style lobby with fireplace or other intimate seating areas at the Inn for a warm and welcoming place to unwind and create! Bring a friend or come solo and make new friends! All fiber artists are welcome.
Our retreats are held at the gorgeous Sauder Heritage Inn, providing a country lodge vibe with natural wood timbers, atrium, hand forged lighting & railings, and unique artwork throughout the building. Additional amenities include an indoor pool with waterfall, hot tub, game room, and exercise room. Snacks, beer, and wine are available for purchase at the Front Desk too!
