Bands have been used for thousands of years to contain things, close bags, keep hair neat, wrap babies and many other practical uses. Today handwoven bands can be used as trim on clothing, hat bands, camera and guitar straps, among other things. You will learn how to thread an inkle loom and read a pattern. We will make two bands in class, one plain weave and one using pick-up patterning. A limited number of looms are available for use from the instructor by prearrangement. Pre-purchase a Schact inkle loom to be delivered at class and receive a 10% discount. Contact infor@heritagespinning.com
