Gallery Talks are a rare opportunity to see the exhibits through the eyes of the designer, creator, curator, authority, or descendant. They are an exceptional learning opportunity to take aspects you admire in an artists work and adapt them to your own work or your quilt collection.
This presentation will take place on the stage in Founder’s Hall. You will walk through the exhibit as the speaker refers to individual pieces discussing interesting details and revealing little known facts. At the end of the Gallery Talk, the speaker will be happy to answer your questions – so come prepared! The speaker will also offer a brief slide presentation and book sale. Greg self-published a book, “Living Outside the Lines – The Works of Ann Stamm Merrell (1951-1999)” in 2001 after Ann’s death. He will have copies of the book for sale at the Information Table in Founder’s Hall. Proceeds from the sale of the book will be donated to the Sauder Village Textile Preservation Fund.
Participants are welcome to take photos during Gallery Talks, but no video recordings.
