Class Description:  The aim of this clinic is to acquaint students with the tried and true techniques Tish uses consistently to achieve wonderful verisimilitude in her hooked faces.

Each participant is asked to bring a hooking project (in any state of completion) with a face comprising the primary focus of the design. Cut size can be any size from #3-8.  If you are working from a photo, please bring that photo.

The clinic will begin with a lecture and handout, with the remainder of the time focusing on each attendee’s hooked piece.  Tish will critique each attendee’s piece, offering constructive suggestions. She will also use each attendee’s piece to instruct the whole group.

This clinic has lots of opportunity for learning how to improve your current and future hooked faces!

BIO:   Tish has been rug hooking for more than 35 years, inspired to learn the craft after seeing vintage hooked rugs displayed on the floors of a friend’s historic home. She brought to this endeavor a lifetime of creating as well as the artistic discipline honed while completing degrees in both Fine Art and Art History.  While her body of work is eclectic in content, style and format, she has made a specialty of hooking faces….a challenge she loves. It is in that area that she has made her major contribution to the rug hooking world.

For almost 20 years, Tish taught at workshops across the US - Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Arizona, and Illinois and is so proud of the work her students accomplished.

She has appeared regularly in Rug Hooking magazine since its inception, gracing the cover as well as writing articles explaining her techniques.

She has taken part in exhibits around her home state, Canada and Japan.
