Teresa-Miller-pumpkin-head-on-clampClass Description:  In this workshop, you have your choice to create a primitive Pumpkin Jack clamp with a stem hat for Fall or a Snowman clamp with top hat for Winter.

You will cut the pattern pieces from wool, create the round head and applique the facial features. The hats are stitched by hand and stitched to the head. The pumpkin or snowman will then be stuffed, and for a unique finish --- mounted on a metal clamp. The completed project measures about 11 inches high.

Students will be working with wool and simple applique stitches, and learn how to create a pinched nose for a nice primitive look.

Both the Pumpkin Jack and Snowman Clamps make wonderful handmade gifts, pin cushions or season decorations!

BIO:  Growing up in rural Pennsylvania, surrounded by a large family, Teresa always had the desire to create. The area, in which she now resides with her husband Jeff, just like her home, has many Amish families living nearby which is a constant reminder of the simple life.

She began sewing and selling her wares in 1990 to be able to stay at home with her 3 children. They are now all grown up and have blessed her with 7 grandchildren.

Her love of wool and hand stitching began about 15 years ago and not many days go by that her needle or hook is not in hand!

Teresa’s designs have been featured in The Wool Street Journal, Primitive Quilts and Projects magazine, Punch Needle and Primitive Stitcher’s magazine.

SPECIALTIES:  Designing simple primitive punch needle patterns that can be hooked, stitched and appliqued.
