Description: In this workshop, we will be working on constructing 3-D Animals. Since there is a menagerie of animals to choose from, you will not only learn how to assemble your selected animal but many others too! 

Prior to class, Sheila will contact you to discuss which Prairie Road Designs 3-D pattern you would like to order and discuss the options. The pattern, wool and hooking instructions will then be shipped to you in advance. Students will need to come to class with project already hooked, steamed, zig zagged and ready to put together – as this is an “assembly” class not a hooking class.

Students will be taught how to hand-sew hooked pieces together and shown tricks on what works well. Beside your animal’s body, we will also work on legs, ears, tails, and other body parts. Students will receive individual help as well as group discussion on each project and how it is done.

Sheila is well-known for designing and creating 3D animals, let her walk you through the steps and simplify the process of creating fun, whimsical, and life-like animals!

Level:   Basic – students must have basic rug hooking knowledge & experience, as hooking will be completed prior to class. Basic hand sewing experience is also helpful.
