Description: This workshop will focus on finishing mats with lamb’s tongues. Students will choose a 6” round mat from one of Cammie’s 4 primitive and seasonal designs. In class, you will hook the mat in a # 8.5 cut and then the rest of the class time will be used to finish the mat as Cammie shows you how to hand-sew each of the lamb's tongues and how to attach them to your round hooked mat.

Cammie will also discuss and demonstrate a few other fun and creative finishing techniques such as applique, pennies, quilted and scrappy, while you are working on your projects - which will give you even more finishing options for future projects!

Bio: Cammie’s fascination with rug hooking began in 2001 when she saw a hand-hooked rug in an antique shop in Lincoln, Nebraska. She questioned the shop owner about the rug and the owner explained that it was hand-hooked by a local woman in Lincoln who also taught classes. Cammie contacted the woman and took her first lesson within that same week - and never looked back! Since then, Cammie has taken classes with many of the great Primitive teachers and loves passing on that knowledge to her own students.

Currently, Cammie teaches 2 to 3 workshops a year and is a vendor at several Hook-Ins, around the country. She designs and sells her own patterns and completed rugs on Etsy as Baskets of Wool. She received her McGown teacher certification in 2008 and had several of her rugs published in the 2018 book by Ellen Banker called Hooked on Words: Inspiration, Techniques, Projects.
