Tie-dyed-woolDescription:  Get ready to become comfortable around the dye pot, and learn some wonderful new dying techniques.  First we will discuss dying safety, as well as dying dos and don’ts. Recycling will be one of our main focuses in this class.

In our evening dying workshop we will discuss and learn how to use recycled materials to enhance our wools. Each student will have a hands on experience learning Nancy’s method of tie dying and participate in the ‘color plan in a pot’ method.

There will be ample time for students to ask questions and get them answered while our dyed wools are processing. Nancy will also bring several rugs that have been hooked using wools that were dyed in one of these methods. Please note that results will always vary, and that is a wonderful part of this type of dying.

Students will receive samples of the wool dyed in class along with handouts.
