Description: This is a punch needle workshop using DMC embroidery floss. The focus will be on exploring the use of highlights and shadows while discovering the importance of negative space and atmosphere. Students will also learn to build contrast with color and texture that will support the main subject.
There are five different sized projects. The seasonal patterns are: The Girls in August, Winter Perch Blue Jay, Bees in the Clover, Gathering Goose, or Rise & Shine Rooster, which can be worked with three or six strands of floss.

Michelle will demonstrate techniques using the Ultra Punch tool. The tool has four interchangeable needle sizes and ease for setting loop length. You can use the medium needle for six strands of DMC floss or the small needle for three strands of DMC floss.
The more comfortable you are with your tool and floss - the easier it is to experiment with fine lines and small details. Once comfortable, you can accomplish anything!
(Please note: this is a punch needle with embroidery floss workshop, not to be confused with a rug hooking with a hook & wool, or a punch needle/punch hooking with yarn workshop.)
