dyed-fabric-Sandra-BrownDescription: This is an intermediate to advanced level dye class held on two consecutive nights with an emphasis on customizing colors and effects, aimed at making the "hooking part" easier.

We will cover numerous dye techniques, such as: casserole, dip, advanced spot dye, dimensional coloration, swatches and cross swatching, creating plaids, plus formula creation and tweaking and how to dye a “suite” of colors from one formula. There will be opportunities for hands-on dyeing and students will take home samples of all the dyed wools.

In this dye workshop, Sandra will help you develop your dyeing skills and knowledge. Color planning begins in the dye pot, and she will share many tips and techniques so that you leave class feeling confident to dye more of your own wool.

Teacher will contact students prior to class:

Level: Intermediate to Advanced - students should have basic dyeing knowledge & experience.

Supply description: All dyes used in class, wool samples to take home, and instructional hand-out with methods and recipes.

Students Need to Bring:  Pen & paper. Please note: students should also wear an apron or old cloths, to prevent dye stains.
