Description:

no-place-like-home-hooked-rug-Linda-Pietz-workshopImagine making a chic and functional zippered pouch to keep all you hooking tools in - and “You Designed It!” Linda will walk you through the design process, so that you create your very own “original & one-of-a-kind” pouch.

Linda has lots of experience with helping students go from idea to design. She will make sure that your pouch design is exactly what you imagined it to be.

After designing, next comes the all-important step of color planning. Linda will take you through the step-by-step process and help you build color planning confidence Once that is done, it is time to hook, using cuts # 6 or 8, and before you know it, your pouch will be ready for the final touches of finishing and assemble, which will be covered during the workshop. Most students will take home a completed pouch!

opened-zippered-hooked-rug-purse-Linda-Pietz-workshopLinda will be providing easy to follow written instructions and will thoroughly go through the instructions to make sure of your success. This workshop is perfect for building skills in design, color planning, and assembly.

You will be the envy of your fellow hookers when they see your pouch and you can proudly say “I designed it!” We bet this will be the first of many pouches, as they not only make great tool bags but also evening clutches, make-up bags, gifts, and more!

zippered-modern-hooked-rug-purse-Linda-Pietz-workshopBio: Linda Pietz grew up in a family of artists, but her medium of choice has always been fiber. She has been designing needle work since childhood and as an adult, she designs for a number of companies including rug hooking patterns for her sister Nola Heidbreder’s company – Let Nola Do It.

Holding a degree in fine arts and a teaching credential in fine art, she loves teaching as much as designing. Linda has co-authored five books with her sister and has been a regular contributor to Rug Hooking Magazine along with other publications. She enjoys thinking outside the box when it comes to rug hooking, bringing in fresh and unusual techniques to the medium.
