Rug Hooking Week offers the most extensive and creative annual exhibit in North America. Exhibitors include: novice to accomplished fiber artists, contemporary and historic work, U.S, Canadian & international exhibitors, and a wide variety of designs, techniques, fibers and topics. In addition to hooked and punched work, other fiber art exhibit categories include: braiding, felting/needle felting, fusion, punch needle, wool applique, and more. Founder’s Hall offers 10,000 square feet of exhibit space with custom lighting and display panels, like those found in an art gallery. A number of awards and ribbons are presented each year. During Rug Hooking Week, you will be inspired by the extensive exhibit, expand your knowledge & skills in diverse classes, shop for supplies & merchandise from unique vendors, meet up with new & old friends, and simply relax & have fun here in rural northwest Ohio. The Sauder Village campus makes it a short walk from Rug Hooking Week activities to historic Sauder Village & Craftsmen, Founder’s Hall Exhibit and Vendors, Barn Restaurant & Doughbox Bakery, and the many other Sauder Village shops and activities. Special Exhibits – inspiring & innovative textile art collections of original works by noted artisans
Virtual Exhibits – present the work of international artists in a Virtual format. A great opportunity to see what artists around the globe are creating, without the complicated logistics and expenses of shipping their work to the U.S. Typically, this exhibit is accompanied by “LIVE” Zoom meetings or online videos, or a combination, to meet and hear from the artists directly, see the Schedule for more information.

Awards:
Sauder Award –The piece that best exemplifies the “Mission and Spirit” of historic Sauder Village; as well as represents outstanding artistry and quality of work. Each year one special recipient is awarded the Sauder Ribbon.
People’s Choice Awards – The public is invited to VOTE on their favorite pieces and the winners are awarded People's Choice Ribbons in the following categories:
