Description:

Teresa is known for combining her creative and fun fiber art projects with her husband Jeff’s wood projects & finishes. Together they make a great team and a wonderful workshop project!

So, for this primitive workshop, Teresa has designed an autumn wool applique pumpkin to top Jeff’s mustard or pewter distressed sliding lid box. When complete, the box is perfect to hold your hooks, other supplies or special treasures.

The wool applique will measure 7” x 4” of a pumpkin with vine and leaves. Teresa will cover the following stitches to be used in the wool applique: blanket stitch, backstitch, and leaf stitch. She will teach you how to mount the applique to the box, for a satisfying and useful finish.

Projects like these are fun and gratifying – and make great gifts. Teresa will have examples of other projects for inspiration - as the holiday gift giving season is quickly approaching!

Teacher will contact students prior to class:  Yes

Level:  Basic – students must have basic hand sewing knowledge & experience.

Students Need to Bring: Small sharp scissors.

BIO: After creating primitives and attending craft shows for many years, Teresa began designing her own patterns in 2014. Her focus was punch needle designs but she now carries cross stitch, hooked rugs, wool applique and a few embroidery designs. She enjoys the handwork retreats and hook-ins to vend and teach an occasional class or workshop.

She has been designing a pattern for the Punch Needle & Primitive Stitchers Magazine since it started back in 2017 and occasionally has a pattern published in the Primitive Quilts & Projects magazine.

Her husband Jeff is the woodworker who does a great job creating boxes, sifter frames and thread cupboards when asked. Their number one seller for the last 5 years has been their sifter frames which are made from reclaimed wood and wire to create a great display piece. They are used for all types of finishes, and he welcomes custom sizes to be made to fit your handmade piece.

Visit her vendor booth to find lots of kits and patterns for punching, applique, cross stitch, embroidery and hooking.
