Using any multi-block geometric pattern of your choice, or one of Gene’s many patterns, this class will focus on how to improve any geometric BEFORE the hooking begins.
To that end, the class will start with a short lecture on tips and procedures that will immediately improve the geometric hooking process. Armed with that information, the class will quickly begin using it to hook on the blank project --- please do not bring a pattern that has already been started.
Although Gene will discuss color planning with each student in the months before class, he will also work with them to troubleshoot and tweak that process in class.
This class will also cover Gene‘s tips for getting straight lines, good corners, sharp points, round circles, matching arcs and any other geometric elements being hooked in this class. While cut size is somewhat flexible depending on design (and Gene will consult with each student ahead of time about this) most projects will use cuts # 6 - # 8 for this class.
A great opportunity to overcome your fear of geometrics or start fresh with Gene’s sure fire techniques!
