DESCRIPTION:

Take a deep dive into fine shading with Karen Poetzinger! This class will focus on shading using 6-8 value straight gradation and transitional swatches. Pick your own pattern and enjoy four days of expert teaching and camaraderie with your fellow classmates.

LEVEL: 

Intermediate/Advanced - Prior hooking experience but new to fine cuts and shading is welcomed.

PROJECT MATERIALS/SUPPLY FEE:

Students to work with teacher prior to class to let her know pattern choice and desired color plan. There will be wool to select from at the class as well. Supply fee dependent upon student choices.

STUDENTS NEED TO BRING: 

A pattern appropriate for shading with swatches. Basic rug hooking equipment, frame, hook, scissors.

BIO:

Karen has been creating works in wool using traditional rug hooking methods for 45 years. Initially self taught, she went on to study with well-known artists throughout the U.S. and Canada. In 1996 she pursued and received her teaching certificate in 1998 from the National Guild of Pearl K. McGown Hookrafters.
