Winnie-the-Pooh-Hooked-RugDescription:
Have you seen beautiful portraits hooked in a monochromatic color pattern and wished you could create one? Well, this workshop will show you how to do it. Donna will teach you how to draw a pattern from her chosen photo and will provide the dyed wool in a range of values in one color to complete that hooked portrait. Do not be afraid! You can do it!

Donna will provide a photo source, drawing and transfer materials, linen backing, and dyed wool in a range of values. Students will be working with cuts # 3-5.

Students will learn how to transfer the design to a linen backing and then learn how to determine where and how to use their color values to create the portrait. This workshop will prepare rug hookers to create their own portrait design, as they'll have all the guidelines in place.

Donna is well-known for her award winning human and animal portraits and monochromatic rugs and ability to share her knowledge in the classroom. This workshop will be filled with tips and techniques to give you confidence in adapting photos into rugs, working with portraits, color values and monochromatics, and much more!
