Alec LaCasse

Alec LaCasse is a sculptor of the human face and for nine years has taught thousands of artists about the art of carving the realistic face in wood. As a teacher, Alec helps artists with tools and techniques to achieve realism in human expression. His artworks include: “Christ with a Crown of Thorns”, “Geometric Greenman” and “Sleeping Woman”.
Since his first showing at age 12, Alec has taken many best in show awards and countless first place awards in art shows and woodcarving competitions around the Midwest. Alec has also been a regular guest on Detroit Fox 2 News, WDIV Local 4 and ABC 7 WXYZ Detroit.
Alec currently lives beside Cranberry Lake in Oakland, Michigan.
