Description:
Students may choose from a variety of realistic bust rough-outs in Basswood, Butternut or start from Cottonwood Bark (other woods available upon request). Students will be taken through the major steps used in creating a realistic human bust. Subjects include both woman and man Native Americans, Mountain Men and Wood Spirits. Students can expect to complete all major details such as laying out the face, eyes, nose and mouth within three days, although some detailing, such as hair, will be left to finish on own. Cotton Wood Bark pieces should be completely done within the 3 days. Chris will make a personalized rough-out for an individual if given enough notice before class.
Tools needed:
Any hand tools of your choice that you are comfortable using.
