Have fun in the past at Ohio's largest living-history village, Destination of Choice in Northwest Ohio! In the Historic Village your group will visit at their leisure with the costumed guides and working craftsmen in nearly 40 historic homes and shops. We can also customize your tour with a special workshop, lecture or guided tour - ask for details! We hope you will also include time in your trip for a home-cooked meal at the Barn Restaurant.
What to Expect.
Allow 3 – 4 hours to visit in the Historic Village. There are plenty of shopping opportunities in our craft and retail shops. With large restroom, paved walks and plenty of benches throughout, the living-history village is very group friendly.

Although a visit to Sauder Village makes a full day, we can customize additional programming to suit your groups needs. Some topics include historic farming and gardening, old-fashioned hymn sing and the history of Sauder Village.

The Sauder Village Story

Hear the history behind the history of the creation of Sauder Village. Groups will learn about Village founder Erie Sauder, his life and work with Sauder Woodworking, the creation and growth of Sauder Village and look at the future of this destination of choice in Northwest Ohio.
Step-On Guide Service
Cost $50.00
Time 30 – 60 minutes (depending on group schedule)
Location Motor Coach with microphone... Off-site
Class Size Minimum 20 – Maximum 1 coach
Our guide will take you on a trip of Archbold sharing the history and excitement of this small town. Noted points of interest include Sauder Woodworking, the largest manufacturer of ready-to-assemble furniture in the world, Goll Woods, a 300-400 year old wooded nature preserve, Lockport Covered Bridge and downtown Archbold. Stops at some of these locations can be arranged, but will add to the overall length of the program.
Hymn Sing
Cost $70.00
Time 30 – 60 minutes
Location St. Mark's Church, Historic Sauder Village
Step back in time for an old-fashioned hymn sing. Learn more about our historic 19th century church building and then join in singing your favorite hymns to the accompaniment of a 100 year old pump organ.
