Fantastic Frogs

Our wetlands not only holds back water from flooding our historic buildings, but also helps filter nutrients out of the runoff that comes in from the surrounding fields. Frogs and other amphibians that make their home in wetlands are bioindicators, or species that can be used to tell if an environment is healthy. This little leopard frog is a good sign that our wetlands are doing their job!
