Have you ever wanted to try wool applique, but didn’t know where to start?
This is the perfect project for a beginner using Long May She Wave, a pattern by Primitive Gatherings.
Students will learn to cut your wool pieces using a pattern, learn about various ways for securing wool layers, and basic embroidery stitches to accent your hand stitched keepsake piece. Class time includes 2 hours of guided instruction and up to 1 hour of individual stitching time with the instructor available to help troubleshoot and answer questions as you stitch.
Students will be able to complete this project as a simple mat, pincushion or other decorative piece.
Location: Carolyn Sauder Education Center
Class Fee: $75/$70 Sauder Village Member. Fee includes Primitive Gatherings pattern & wool, Valdani thread, chenille needle, needle threader, & small pair of scissors ($47 retail value).
Registered students receive a 10% discount on all class supplies purchased at the Sauder Village Quilt Shop.
