Looking for a warm and welcoming place to unwind and create?

Join friends and fellow fiber artists at the Sauder Heritage Inn for a relaxing and creative atmosphere.

Whether you crochet, knit, spin, weave, embroider, hook, or do other types of hand work, the Winter Fiber Arts Retreat is a wonderful place to gather with other makers for a weekend of creativity. There is no guided instruction or teachers at this retreat, but there will be lots of friendly helpful crafters in attendance. All skill levels and handwork crafts are welcome.

You set your own schedule for the weekend. Take advantage of the comforts of the Heritage Inn, enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the Oak Tree, or soak up some quiet time by the lobby fireplace. Pack a swimsuit so you can enjoy the waterfall pool, take a nature walk along our Wetlands Trail, or watch the sunset from the courtyard.

Fiber enthusiasts like yourself will gather in the spacious and well-lit Homestead meeting room at the Sauder Heritage Inn, where you can spread out your work, have fun catching up with friends, be encouraged, delighted, and productive.

The retreat room is open daily 8 am until midnight. Catered lunches are served in the retreat room at 12 noon and dinners at 5:30 pm. At some point during the weekend there will be a “bring and brag” opportunity to show off a current project!

There are daily door prizes of handcrafted artisan made items from Sauder Village’s own craft shops.

Options

2-day Retreat (Friday, February 12 – Saturday, February 13). Includes your retreat fee, snacks, lunch & dinner both days, and artisan made door prizes. Retreat opens at 8 am on Friday and ends at 5 pm on Saturday. $135/$125 Sauder Village Member.

3-day Retreat (Friday, February 12 – Sunday, February 14). Includes retreat fee, all meals, snacks, and artisan made door prizes. Retreat opens at 8 am on Friday and ends at 4 pm on Sunday. $165/$155 Sauder Village Member.

Registration closes on January 25 at noon.

Optional Market Table – Do you have yarn, patterns, tools, or equipment you no longer need? Register for a Market Table. $5 reserves a half table for you to sell your items. You are responsible for managing all items you sell. Limited to 16 people.

Lodging

A block of rooms is reserved offering a special discounted rate for retreat attendees. A Group Reservation ID# is required at the time of reservation. The ID# will be listed in your registration confirmation email. Once you receive your confirmation, call the Heritage Inn at 800-590-9755 to reserve your room. The Inn offers an expanded continental breakfast each morning for registered guests.

Cancellation Policy

Refund Policy:
All cancellations made prior to thirty (30) days from the start of the retreat shall receive a refund of your registration minus a 10% processing fee.

No refunds will be given after thirty days from the start of the retreat or for no shows. Please note: if you register for a retreat within the thirty-day window and then cancel, you will not receive a refund.

The refund policy is in place to support and honor our staff of our nonprofit who invest time and resources in preparing for classes and events. We understand that extreme circumstances do happen. In the case, please contact us to discuss options.

Minimum Enrollment and Inclement Weather
Sauder Village reserves the right to cancel the retreat if minimum enrollment has not been met or int he case of inclement weather. In cases where Sauder Village cancels the retreat, you will be notified as soon as we make that decision and will issue you a full refund.
