Sweatshirt to Quilted Jacket

Two-Part Class Dates: October 24 AND November 7

This fun and creative class transforms a simple sweatshirt into a One-Of-A-Kind Quilted Jacket using an easy quilting technique. No two jackets will be the same as they will reflect each participant’s personal style. Guidance will be given throughout the construction process from start to finish.

No previous garment making skills are required (although you need to know how to use your sewing machine) as this is a very simple technique for constructing a jacket.

Join us for this 2-part class to create an “expressive” statement that you will enjoy making as much as wearing!

Supply List:

All items (except the sweatshirt) are available at The Quilt Shop at Sauder Village. Participants will receive a 10% discount on class supplies.

• 1 plain, logo-free crewneck sweatshirt (one size larger than you normally wear)
• 1.5 yards fabric
• Thread to match
• 6 ½” x 24 ½” Ruler
• 45mm Rotary Cutter
• Seam Ripper (sharp!)
• Sewing Scissors
• Measuring Tape
• Pins
• Sewing Machine with Walking Foot (sometimes called Even Feed Foot)

Rotary cutting mats and irons will be available to use; you may bring your own small iron and mat if you choose.

Refund Policy:
All cancellations made prior to thirty (30) days from the start of the class shall receive a refund of your registration minus a 10% processing fee.

No refunds will be given after thirty days from the start of the class or for no shows. Please note: if you register for a class within the thirty-day window and then cancel, you will not receive a refund.
