Primitive Candy Cane

Description
Students will select from a variety of wools to create the greenery and holly leaves and will have the option to add an additional candy cane, if they desire for a minimal additional fee. Students will learn how to create wooly tree branches for a greenery bouquet in addition to creating the 3-dimensional holly leaves and berries. All techniques learned in this class can be applied to other wool feather projects. This class is the steppingstone to creating other 3-D wool projects with confidence.

Skill level: All skill levels welcome in this class.
Supply fee: $38 payable to instructor at start of class. Fee includes candy cane form,
fabric ticking, precut wool, supplies to make berries and holly leaves.
Student supplies: Scissors for cutting wool, hot glue gun, and glue sticks.

Susie Simmons:

Susie has been teaching 3-dimensional wool projects for several years and loves sharing tips and tricks during class to make the process easier. Susie is the owner of Basket Treasures – Wool Cottage based in Greenwood, Indiana, and will be vending at the 2026 Sauder Village Rug Hooking Week.
