T-Shirt Quilting Class

Want to learn how to make a T-shirt memory quilt?
T-shirt quilts are a fun and beginner-friendly quilting project. T-shirt quilts create a way to cherish special times in our lives like graduations, trips and hobbies.
This class will give you step-by-step instruction and practical hands-on experience to create a one-of-a-kind t-shirt quilt. Techniques on cutting and stabilizing t-shirts to layout designs and construction will be presented.
Required Materials:
- 4-6 t-shirts Do NOT CUT in ADVANCE!
(You may want to consider Thrift Store shirts to bring as you will be learning.) - Rotary cutter
- Ruler: 12.5” square or 15” square
- Ruler: 6” x 24” rectangle
- 2 yards Pellon 911FF or Shapeflex stabilizer
- 1/2 yard of cotton fabric for sashing
- Sewing machine
- Ballpoint needle for sewing machine
- Thread
- Seam Ripper
- Pins
- Marking Tools (pencil, chalk marker)
- Applique Pressing Sheet
- Scissors
Helpful Supplies, but not required:
- A smaller ruler may be helpful (ex. 3.5” x 18”)

Prerequisite Skills: Basic sewing knowledge and use of sewing machine.
