The Last Act – Finishing

Joyce Krueger
Description
Finishing the rug is the one process many of us do not look forward to. But it is one of the most important parts of the rug. A good finish will ensure that a floor rug will last longer. If a rug is being judged, the finishing can be the difference between a blue ribbon or no ribbon. In this class, students will make a sampler using different finishing techniques. There will also be demonstrations of different ways to finish a hooked piece, including a wall hanging, framing, and adding a braided border.
