Description
This class will teach a variety of techniques to make dimensional flowers and leaves to fill their Bloomin’ Heart Pocket. Techniques include couching, prodding, standing wool, felting, and weaving. Every technique can be used in future hooking projects, and students will have a choice of which ones to use for their pocket. Students will be given a couple of options to make the pocket, as well as instruction on how to finish the project.
In advance of the class, registered students will be sent a paper heart pattern along with instructions. The pattern MUST be hooked PRIOR to the class.

Skill level: All skill levels welcome.
Supply fee: $40 payable to the instructor at the beginning of class. Fee includes pattern, written instructions for hooking, and wool to use in class.
Student supplies: Sewing kit (needles, thread, scissors, straight pins) rug hook, and frame.
Bio
Ali Strebel:
Ali has been teaching fiber art nationally and internationally since 1986. Her business, Ali Strebel Designs, located in Tipp City, Ohio, sells an extensive line of books and patterns she has published as well as hand dyed wool, yarn, roving, and other fiber art supplies. She has also developed a line of fiber and fiber art inspired jewelry.
Beside her own books, Ali’s work has been featured in Rug Hooking Magazine’s Designs for Primitive Hookers, The Wool Street Journal, and numerous other publications.
