Savvy Shopper is back by popular demand! Are you new to rug hooking and the wool world? Is this your first time at Rug Hooking Week? Have you ever been overwhelmed with the choices in rug hooking supplies and equipment? Or do you want to know what’s new on the market? Or what creative items are in this year’s Rug Hooking Week Vendors Booths?
If so, walk through the many wonderful vendor booths with a seasoned rug hooker and shopper – Ali Stebel. This unique, behind the scenes look at the merchandise is offered in the evening when there are no crowds to contend with. Learn what to look for in each booth and see what’s new so you are ready to shop when the doors open on Thursday morning.
This is a great opportunity to ask questions so that you can become a Savvy Shopper too. Be a well-informed consumer who buys with confidence – no matter if you are a beginner or advanced fiber artist.
Each Savvy Shopper receives a shopping bag filled with coupons and samples from the vendors. Even if you have participated in Savvy Shopper in the past, our vendors & their merchandise change – so each Savvy Shopper experience is unique!

Bio
Ali Strebel:
Ali has been teaching fiber art nationally and internationally since 1986. Her business, Ali Strebel Designs, located in Tipp City, Ohio, sells an extensive line of books and patterns she has published as well as hand dyed wool, yarn, roving, and other fiber art supplies. She has also developed a line of fiber and fiber art inspired jewelry.
Beside her own books, Ali’s work has been featured in Rug Hooking Magazine’s Designs for Primitive Hookers, The Wool Street Journal, and numerous other publications.
